[Poninjas Episode Five]

Meh.

When I watch a flash I wanna FEEL something. It might be pain, joy, I might feel blinded by the beuty of the art and animation, or simply laugh out loud. After watching something like this I feel nothing. At all. And that's why it's bad.

I know It's christmas eve and all but I didn't really like this. Looking at you molest popular and beloved christmas characters just makes me want to puke. Wasnt' really fuuny, just boring.

Pretty neat

I liked it, the graphics were good, and it's really a good concept with the clowns too.

That was pretty bad. The graphics were cool, but it was just like 10 seconds long and contained just one lousy joke.

[Knights Fights]

Kinda good

Well it was pretty good, nothing original or extraordinary though, just a solid flash. Graphics looked cool, I liked the design of the knights, and their moviements looked really realistic. Maybe you could have some other music, that kinda electronic sht doesn't fit with medieval stuff. Cool that his shield looked Swedish flag.

[Crazy Sticks]

Pretty good

It's a pretty good animation. I liked the realistic movement of the sticks. Backrounds was also very well done.

[--The Bard's Song--]

Good, but not "CharlieZero-good"

Graphics are good, very detailed and shading is done very nicely. I loved your razorsharp outlines too and nice use of colors, I esspecially liked how their skin color was a bit tanned. Also cool who you had written "The Bard's song". At the very beggining the art was wonderful, but till the end it really lost much of greatness and feel a bit rushed. Also in the end when he starts to sing the bridge "But the bard's song will rem-aaa-aaaiin...", synching was done very poorly and alot of the overall impression was lost, since it's a very important sequence of the movie. Also his redhaired wife was a bit badly drawn, it was quite obvious that you had rushed her.

Sound is great, Blind Guardian is an awsome band and the song is very powerful. Maybe you ould have a link to the website at the ending credits.

Interactivity was ok, even if not necessary. Great you guys had the lyrics, something I acctaully missed in the original. Maybe you could be able to toggle the control bar though. (like in ebolaworld cartoons).

Style, style is great. The mood is great and it's just wonderul to watch. Afterall it's just a remake though, and to make something with a reference is a lot easier then creating it from scratch. Call it a tribute or whatever, but honestly it's just an exuse to get ratings on other people's work, much like all the Madness "tributes", that have been flooded the portal lately. If this was your original work you would have gotten a ten for interactivity.

Violence was good too, even if not necessary for a good flash. The blood splatter scene was done very nicely and with almost as good as the original. Nice you had a bit different graphics too in this scene. The greay haired dude's sword was a bit short though.

Overall it was a solid flash, and remakes can been fun watching. Also, "CharlieZero's the Bard's Song" is my alltime favorite on NG, and I expected a lot from this animation. It was a very good remake, and you guys have added stuff to improve it, and the drawings are occasionaly wonderful, but It doesn't have the same -MaGiC-, as CharlieZero flash have.

It's allright, but nothing special

The song was different and pretty good, and the style overall was well done and thought through.

Your graphics are ok, very detailed, and I see you have taken effort in drawing them, but I must say I find them a bit stiff. Shadings could have been used much more effectivly, and your graphics are basicly built up with straigt lines and circles. It looks a bit amaturish. Maybe you could try to experiment with the brushtool, It can do wonders if you know who use it correctly. :)

In general I was always a complete failure at drawn artistic endeavors. So when I got Flash I attempted to create somethings fully in Flash. Given I produced this in the 30 day trial I was happy with the results but wished it would have looked a touch better. Knowing myself which parts I began with compared to the end elements I can see a huge difference in quality all over. I suppose I'll have to play with other tool like the brush if I pick up flash again (no money now and I refuse to steal). No offense taken at all, I think your review matches many of my own feelings quite well. I'm very proud/happy that the detail of many of the images was noticed.
